Meet the Founders!

Two friends who are Arts Professionals, with a similar vision for the arts, a heart for people, and shared values, saw the need for a liberating arts organization in their community. Together they are creating a space which is safe while encouraging of risks, nurturing while empowering, and positive while remaining true to the art form and the stories brought to life.

Noelle Marie

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Noelle is an award-winning Director/Musical Director/Performer, Vocal Teacher and Adjudicator who began performing at age two. Favorite roles portrayed are Eponine (Les Miserables), Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Maria (West Side Story), Jo (Little Women) and Harper (Angels in America). Favorite titles directed are Les Miserables and Beauty and the Beast. Favorite associate directed are Sweeney Todd and Evita. Founding programs in honor of her mother with over 2 decades of directing, ministry, and teaching experience in CA, NYC, NJ, Africa, Argentina, Europe and Mexico she has taught performers from novice and special needs to professional. Inclusive of those with Broadway credits and UK Pop Chart placements, guiding in a myriad of venues including founding the Musical Theatre Student Organization at CSUSM directing the first musicals produced at the University. Continuing professionally with such companies as Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Disney Theatrical Group. She trained faculties in Music and Theatre as well as Directed Vocal, Theatre and Arts Education Departments simultaneously. Additionally as a Music Teacher for many schools over the decades she is an Arts Education advocate and has developed Music Education programs in the States as well as for two schools in Kenya creating sustainable programs while creating full time positions for local Music Teachers. With a BA in VPA: Music, Theatre; Arts Ed Noelle Marie is an alum of Directors Lab West, Broadway Teachers Workshop, and is a Teaching Artist for CA Center for the Arts. Ben Williams

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Ben is a native San Diego actor, singer, teacher of Visual and Performing Arts, and director. He received his BA in Theatre Arts from Cal State Long Beach. Ben has also taught theatre and other arts classes at CYT, Mary Beach Productions, STAR Education, and Oceanside Theatre Company. As an amusement park performer he can be seen in seasonal shows such as The Yuletides, Character Dance Party, and Brick or Treat for Legoland. As an actor he has performed with such companies as The Lawrence Welk Resort Theatre, Lamb’s Players, Vista’s Broadway Theatre, OTC and Moonlight Stage Productions. Notable roles include Motel (Fiddler on the Roof), Freddy (My Fair Lady), Zachy and Don US (Big Fish) and Fred (Miracle on 34th Street). Ben recently played Sky in Mamma Mia for Grace Arts Live in Lake Havasu and taken stage since May 2018 in Cabarets and Theatre projects with Lighthouse Players. October 2019 additionally Ben performed in his first opera with Pacific Lyric Association Opera as a Tenor in Romeo and Juliet. In addition to performing arts, Ben has a love for visual arts. He has studied drawing and painting since junior high and has won several awards for his paintings in high school and college. Ben has experience working with acrylic paints, oil paints and watercolor paints. He has enjoyed integrating both visual art and performing arts in Lighthouse Players’ classes. Jeremiah 29:11

Jonathan Edzant

HEAD PHOTOGRAPHER / WEBMASTER

Jonathan is an award-winning singer and actor from San Diego, CA. He is also a portrait/headshot photographer and UC Irvine alum. He has performed all over Southern California, including at North Coast Rep, San Diego Lyric Opera, The Chance Theatre, Leigh Scarritt Productions, and Broadway San Diego. His favorite credits include Tommy (The Who’s Tommy), Jack (Into The Woods), Marius (Les Miserables), Lord Farquaad (Shrek the Musical), Sonny Malone (Xanadu), Ryan (High School Musical 2), as well as Chicken Gerald in an off-broadway mini musical called “Chicken Noodle Woop” (as part of UC Irvine’s New York Satellite Program). He currently works as a singer and park host at Legoland California Resort. Jonathan is so happy to be a part of Lighthouse Players, both as a performer and as Photographer and Webmaster.
