Meet the Founders!

Two friends who are Arts Professionals, with a similar vision for the arts, a heart for people, and shared values, saw the need for a liberating arts organization in their community. Together they are creating a space which is safe while encouraging of risks, nurturing while empowering, and positive while remaining true to the art form and the stories brought to life.

NoëlleMarie

CO-FOUNDER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Noëlle Marie is an award-winning professional Director/Musical Director/Performer, Vocal Teacher and Adjudicator who began performing at the age of 2. Favorite roles portrayed are Eponine (Les Miserables) and Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors). Favorite titles directed are Les Miz and Little Women. Favorite Associate Directed are Sweeney Todd and Evita. Founding programs in honor of her mother with over 2 decades of directing and over 3 decades of ministry, missions, and teaching experience in CA, NYC, NJ, Africa, Argentina, Europe and Mexico she has taught performers from novice and special needs to professional. Inclusive of those with Broadway and UK Pop Chart credits, guiding in a myriad of venues including founding a Musical Theatre program at CSUSM. Continuing professionally with such companies as Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Disney Theatrical Group. She trained faculties in Music and Theatre as well as Directed Vocal, Theatre and Arts Education Departments simultaneously. As a Music Teacher for many schools over the decades she has developed Music Education programs in the States as well as for two schools in Kenya, Africa. With a BA in VPA: Music, Theatre; Arts Ed Noëlle Marie is also an alum of Directors Lab West, Broadway Teachers Workshop, and prior to the pandemic a Teaching Artist for CA Center for the Arts. Ben Williams

CO-FOUNDER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Ben Williams is a professional actor, singer, teacher of Visual and Performing Arts, and director. He received his BA in Theatre Arts from Cal State Long Beach. Ben has also taught theatre and arts classes for other theatres and schools around San Diego County. He has performed at amusement parks in seasonal shows such as The Yuletides, Character Dance Party, and Brick or Treat at Legoland as well as SeaWorld. As an actor he has performed with such companies as The Old Globe, The Lawrence Welk Resort Theatre, Lamb’s Players, Vista’s Broadway Theatre, OTC, Grace Arts Live, and Moonlight Stage Productions. Notable roles include Professor Bhaer (Little Women), Motel (Fiddler on the Roof), Freddy (My Fair Lady), Sky (Mamma Mia), and Fred (Miracle on 34th Street). In 2019 Ben tackled French in Romeo and Juliet with Pacific Lyric Association Opera. Most recently he contracted for a month in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho as Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly. In addition to performing arts, Ben has a love for visual arts. He has studied drawing and painting since junior high and has won several awards for his paintings in high school and college. Ben has experience working with acrylic paints, oil paints and watercolor paints. He has enjoyed integrating Visual Art and Performing Arts in Lighthouse Players’ classes. Jeremiah 29:11.

Jonathan Edzant

HEAD PHOTOGRAPHER / WEBMASTER

Jonathan Edzant is an award-winning Singer/Actor from San Diego, CA. He has performed all over Southern California, including at North Coast Rep, San Diego Lyric Opera, The Chance Theatre, Leigh Scarritt Productions, and Broadway San Diego. His favorite credits include Tommy (The Who’s Tommy), Jack (Into The Woods), Marius (Les Miserables), Lord Farquaad (Shrek the Musical), Sonny Malone (Xanadu), and Ryan (High School Musical 2). Jonathan is so happy to be a part of Lighthouse Players as a performer since the 2nd Cabaret in June of 2018, as Head Photographer and Webmaster since Season 2019 as Digital Marketing Content Strategist in 2021 and back as Head Photographer in 2022 after landing Digital Marketing Content Strategist positions for local companies. jedzantphotography.com | Instagram- @jedzant
